Deeone Calls Afro Support As Nedu Exit Podcast Amid Attack

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Adedayo Martin, popularly known as DeeOne, has urged well-meaning Nigerians to support media personality Chinedu Ani, better known as Nedu, following his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast.

The controversy began when DeeOne, appearing as a guest on the podcast, alleged that social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) had an interest in men. However, instead of addressing the claim, VDM redirected the discussion toward Nedu, revealing private conversations and making allegations about the media personality’s personal life.

As public scrutiny intensified, Nedu took to Instagram on Friday to announce that he was stepping away from the podcast. In his statement, he emphasized that his decision was necessary to protect his peace of mind, his family, and the integrity of the show. Expressing gratitude for the journey he had shared with the podcast, he also acknowledged that the ongoing controversy had taken a significant toll on his well-being.

Shortly after Nedu’s announcement, DeeOne released a video on Instagram earlier today, pleading for support from prominent Nigerians, including former presidential candidates Peter Obi and Omoyele Sowore, as well as celebrities such as Cubana Chief Priest, Obi Cubana, E-Money, Kcee, Davido, and Don Jazzy. He also called on Seyi Tinubu and Fuji legend KWAM 1 to intervene, stating that Nedu was in distress and needed help.

In the emotional video, DeeOne insisted that Nedu was innocent and had not influenced him to make any statements about VDM. He claimed that VDM had twisted the truth and manipulated the narrative to damage Nedu’s reputation.

“Nigerians, Nedu is going through a lot,” DeeOne pleaded. “He did not tell me to post anything, that man is innocent. I swear with everything in this life, Nedu did not tell me to post anything. Please, all good, well-meaning Nigerians, this is not content, this is real. Peter Obi! Sowore! Obi Cubana! Cubana Chief Priest! E Money! KCEE! Davido! Don Jazzy! Please come out, VDM lied! He manipulated everything. Nedu is innocent.”

He went on to compare Nedu’s situation to the tragic case of late musician Mohbad, warning that the ongoing public pressure could have severe consequences on his mental and emotional health.

“Don’t let this guy die! Don’t let this guy die! Seyi Tinubu, KWAM 1, please come to Nedu’s rescue. This is not content, this is real life. That man is going through a lot, please don’t let him die. VDM lied against him.”

As the situation unfolds, social media has been buzzing with reactions, with many Nigerians weighing in on the controversy. Some have expressed concern for Nedu’s well-being, while others are calling for a fair and objective assessment of the allegations.

With public figures now being urged to intervene, it remains to be seen how this drama will be resolved and whether Nedu will receive the support he needs to navigate this challenging time.
